Dear parents and guardians,

I would like to provide you with some information on a situation that took place at Erin Public School on August 20 and to alleviate any concerns you may have.

On August 20, OPP officers were called to the school after receiving a noise complaint and found that several windows at the school had been damaged. UGDSB Operations personnel were quick to board the affected windows and remove any debris from the school. This incident is part of an active police investigation, anyone with information is asked to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

I would like to assure you that the school will be open to students on September 5th as planned to start the 2017-2018 school year.

The safety of your children is our primary concern. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the school.

Warmly,

Marina Harrison
