Dear parents and guardians,

I wanted to provide you with some information about a situation that took place at Erin PS on Friday. Just after noon, there was a mechanical issue with the school’s transformer, which led to a power outage.

Being a PD Day, students were not at the school. The children attending daycare were moved to their alternate site at the Erin Public Library. The parents and guardians of the daycare children were called and informed of where to pick up their children.

Board staff and work crews were at the school Friday and we are working to secure a generator to power the school so that the school will be able to operate on Monday. The area around the transformer will be fenced off and a security guard will be on site 24/7 to monitor the school.

Families will be provided with additional updates throughout the weekend regarding school on Monday. Please check your email, If you are subscribed, or this web site for updates.

If you know of Erin PS families who are not signed up to receive email communications from the school, please pass along this message to them.
