DancED was an amazing success! I am very grateful to families for supporting this rich experience for our students. The Arts are an important way for children to express themselves, meet challenges, step outside their comfort zone and build confidence. I am so happy our students are able to grow and learn through this program. I appreciate your continuing support with this and everything we do here at FAH. What a wonderful school community.
This week at school, things are a little quieter! Mme Hemsley’s class will be enjoying a visit from Scientists in Schools and the grade 6’s will still be selling popcorn to raise money for their camp trip on Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday’s special lunch is from Swiss Chalet. To order the special Wednesday lunches, it’s easy. Go to www.lunchboxorders.com and sign up. Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive reminders about ordering other lunches – if you wish – and you won’t have to keep that in your head. The money raised from these lunches will be going towards recess play equipment. We almost have enough to place the order, just in time for the warmer weather. Thank you to everyone for their support.
Finally, please take a few moments to complete our Board’s Climate Survey for Parents. Staff and students have taken their own versions of the survey, but we really need to hear from you about how you feel our school is doing to make everyone feel included and safe. You’ll find the Parent Survey here: https://uoguelph.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9NxSF6jZm5I11Hv Once we have all the data collated, then we’ll be able to address areas of need and continue strategies that are working to make our school a safe, welcoming, inclusive community.
I wish everyone a wonderful Sunday. I hope you are able to get outside for awhile and enjoy the sunshine. I’ve been watching for robins. Let me know if you see one!
