Attention Incoming Grade 9 GCVI Students-Aug 30th-Orientation UPDATE!

Hello to all of our Incoming Grade 9 students.

As you are aware we are super excited to be having our Grade 9 orientation during the morning of  Monday August 30th, 2021.  As promised here is a bit more information about the orientation.

Next week between Aug 27-29th you will receive a call from one of our Link Leaders and they will be confirming with you the time you need to arrive, where to meet  and what to expect during your orientation time.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions we have spread out arrival times of the students to limit contact.

It is very important that you arrive on time at GCVI during your alphabetically designated time slot.  Upon your arrival please make your way to our outdoor classroom (located off the Yorkshire street parking lot, behind the basketball courts) to join your group.  Below is the drop off and pick up schedule for the orientation.

A-E- 9:00 AM start- 10:15 AM pick up

F-K- 9:15 AM start- 10:30 AM pick up

L-Q- 9:30 AM start- 10:45 AM pick up

R-Z- 9:45 AM start- 11:00 AM pick up

**WE WILL FOLLOW PUBLIC HEALTH PROTOCOLS DURING GRADE 9 ORIENTATION INCLUDING SELF-SCREENING FOR STUDENTS, WEARING A MASK WHILE INDOORS, HAND HYGIENE AND PHYSICAL DISTANCING.**

***IF YOU DO NOT PASS THE SELF-SCREENING, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SCHOOL, AND INSTEAD FOLLOW THE GUIDANCE OF PUBLIC HEALTH PROVIDED IN THE SCREENING TOOL.***
