School Council Update
The school council is a partnership between educators, parents and students. Our goal is to have a
positive influence on improving the teaching and learning environment for our students.
School Council would like to give a warm welcome to the many new families that are joining us this year. We are happy to have you as part of the École Guelph Lake community!
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our 2018/2019 School Council Executive Members:

We meet on the first Monday at 6:30PM every other month. Our next meeting will be in November. We like to keep parents up to date with regular emails that include information about volunteer opportunities, events, and fundraisers. You can sign up by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Fresh from the Farm
We will be participating in the popular fundraising event Fresh from the Farm again this year. This was a great success last year and raised over $2,000 for our Greening and Playscape Fund! This initiative is part of the Healthy Fundraising for Ontario Schools program and provides our school with the opportunity to raise funds by selling fresh, Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables to the community, while promoting healthy eating and supporting Ontario farmers.Order forms have gone home with your children. There will be one order form per family made available. If you need a separate one, a digital copy can be found on our Facebook Group – École Guelph Lake School Council. All payments should be made on School Cash Online www.schoolcashonline.com or submit one cheque for all orders payable to École Guelph Lake PS.
School Cash Online will close and all orders are due back October 10, 2018 by end of school day. This will give us time to collate all the orders and submit them before the deadline. For more information about the program please visit www.freshfromfarm.ca/about.aspx . Our delivery date will be confirmed closer to the end of November.
Spirit wear order forms will be coming home this month. Sample sizes are available at the school for students to try on. If you have not received an order form or need another one a digital copy can be found on our Facebook group.

Our first meeting to be held on Thursday October 4, 2018 at 6:30PM in the Learning Commons, please join us and share your fundraising ideas and event planning suggestions for the upcoming year.
Pizza is one of our most popular fundraisers and will be offered once again every Friday (Thursday when there is a scheduled PD Day) throughout the school year! Our first pizza day is scheduled to begin on Friday October 5, 2018.
Pizza orders are now being accepted using School Cash Online. Payment can be made in one lump sum or four equal instalments. Please submit your order(s) by Friday, September 28th, 2018.
Each slice of pizza is $1.75 and when ordering online you will be given the following options:
-Weekly or Bi-Weekly
-One or Two Slices Per Week/Bi-Week
-Cheese, Pepperoni, or Cheese Free Pepperoni Pizza
-Payment for the entire year or payment in four instalments will be accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: pizza order will be submitted at the beginning of each month.
Changes cannot be made mid-month, this includes refunds.
