Pick up and Drop off

Posted January 23, 2022

Hello Harris Mill Families,

Student safety is of utmost importance.  Particularly during the cooler weather, there may be an increase in vehicle traffic at the school.  Pick up and drop off continues to be busy times of the day.  For student safety, we ask that only families with kindergarten students use the front of the school to drop off.  Students in grades 1-5 can be dropped on Parkinson.  There will be a school greeter at the Parkinson entrance to greet and direct students to their lineups. We encourage parents to drop off their child(ren) and continue driving.  If used in this way, the cul-de-sac provides cars with the ability to loop around and drive straight out.  Drivers, please continue to pay particular attention to students as they walk to school.  We also ask that you remind your children about pedestrian safety on a daily basis. As a school, we will review pedestrian rules as well.

Thank you for your support.
