Important Year End Information

Posted June 28, 2021

Good Morning,

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day of school. Thank you parents for supporting your children through this very different time. We are proud of our students and want to take the time to wish everyone a fun, restful, and safe summer. We will post updates about the return to school on our board and school website.

We wanted to send another email reminding our community about very important year end information. That requires action from our parents and guardians. Please touch base with your child’s teacher or call our office if you have questions or need assistance. We’re here to help:

Report Cards:

Parents and guardians will need to create an account with the Upper Grand before they can download their child’s report card.  Parents/guardians can create their account provided they have an email on record with the school. Once your account is activated, you will see each of your children listed.   Please visit our website for instructions and the link. Report cards are now available online until July 5th, 2021.

Student Belongings Pick Up June 23rd to June 29th:

A parent/guardian can pick up student belongings from June 23rd to June 29th from 9am to 3pm. We will have your student items packed up and will bring them out to you. Please ring the school bell when you arrive and wear a mask, while social distancing. If items are not picked up by the end of the day on the 29th, items will be disposed of appropriately or donated.

For staff to have time to pack up belongings,  real time (synchronous) teacher-led learning may not occur on either two half days or one full day. Instead, asynchronous (student work is posted)  learning will be posted. Teachers will communicate their specific schedule with their students/families.

-Student Medication:

Student medication that has been left in the front office can also be picked up June 23rd to June 29th 9am- 3pm.  We will have the medication separate from the student belongings, so be sure to say that you also have medication to pick up when picking up belongings. We are not permitted to store medication over the summer. Please be sure to pick up medication or it will be disposed of after the 29th of June.

-Chromebook Drop Off:

The following days will be Chromebook drop off days at the school: June 24th & June 25th (only if students are not using the equipment for remote learning) and June 28th & 29th. Both days will be from 9am to 3pm. All school Chrome books must be returned by the end of the day on the 29th. Thank you. Please remember the charger.

-IEP Pick UP:

All modified and alternative IEPs will be printed and sent home when parents pick up student belongings. If you choose not to pick up student belongings, the IEPs will be mailed home after June 29th.

If you are unable to access your child’s report card online, please speak to your child’s teacher.

We will be having a lost and found table at the front of the school from June 23rd to June 29th 9am- 3pm. Parents/ Guardians can double check when picking up student belongings. Any remaining items after the 19th will be donated.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.

Congratulations to our grade 8 students as they head off to highschool. We wish you well and know that you will do great things.
