Hyland Heights News for May 6th

Posted May 6, 2022

Good afternoon Hawk Families,

It’s been another great  week at HylandHeights. Our students and staff looked great in Cinco deMayo colours, and  blue and white for Leafs spirit day. Our school spirit days continue into May:

Friday May 13- Hawks Wear or School Colours Day

Tuesday May 17- International Day Against Homophobia, transphobia and Biphobia, wear rainbow colours

Friday May 27- Beach wear day- shorts, sundresses, flip flops, sunhats- think summer!

Our running club met and ran a few times this week, our primary students and staff enjoyed a morning full of mindfulness activities on Friday to recognize UGDSB Education Week and Mental Health Week, and our GSA created pronoun pins for our staff and visitors to wear. Thank you to all of our families who were able to support our School Council’s MacMillian fundraiser. All overdue orders must be returned to the school on Monday.

We still  need Morning Greeters and Lunchroom Supervisors at Hyland. We have an urgent need. We are currently hiring for this position for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 school year.
