Grade 7 Vaccinations

Public Health is returning to Hyland Heights Elementary School to provide the second doses of Grade 7 vaccines on: FRIDAY MAY 26, 2023   

 

Students in Grade 7 are offered three important vaccines that help to protect them from: 

  • Meningococcal disease (causes meningitis) *required for school attendance(1 dose) 
  • Hepatitis B (causes liver damage and liver cancer) (2 doses) 
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV; causes head and neck cancers, genital and anal cancers; and genital warts) (2 doses) 

 

If you have not already completed a consent form but would like your child to receive these vaccines at school, please complete the online consent form as soon as possible.

Consent forms already completed in the fall will be reviewed prior to giving second doses of vaccine or first doses in case of absence during first round. 

 

Please remind your child to dress comfortably in a short-sleeved shirt or something easy to roll up to the shoulder and to eat a good breakfast.
