New Kindergarten Student Orientation

Posted May 13, 2020

Dear Families,

We know the transition to kindergarten is a big step for children and families and we want to make sure that transition is as smooth as possible.

To help with this, in the past we have had kids and families come to the school for an hour in early June. That allows everyone to see the school, a video presentation detailing what a day in kindergarten is like to be shared, and the opportunity for parents to ask questions.

Given the strict guidelines that are currently in place from the Health Unit, for example no one is permitted inside schools right now except under exceptional circumstances, a physical meeting will not be possible before the end of June. In lieu of this, our kindergarten team is working on a way to share our video and create a means for parents to ask questions. We want to ensure we are there to support families as best we possibly can during this unprecedented time.

Once the video and means for the sharing of questions and answers have been finalized, the information will be shared with all of our incoming students and families.

We hope all of you are well and we look forward to meeting all of you as soon as possible!

Yours truly,

Andrew
