Update From Mr. Creighton

Posted November 30, 2021

Dear Families,

As you may have noticed,  I have not been at school for these past couple of weeks and Julie Young, a retired principal, has graciously filled in in my absence. I have been off work due to a rather serious back injury which has left me rather incapacitated. My doctor has advised me that it will be an extended, rather than brief, recovery process, which may extend into the new year.

The primary reason for this update is to let you know that I have submitted my letter of retirement to the Board, effective December 31, 2021. This is not a sudden decision, but rather, something I have been reflecting on and discussing with family and friends for a while. Quite simply, it is my time to retire from education and move on to the next chapter of my life.

I want to thank all of you for your support, energy, and partnership in our efforts, over these past 6 plus years, to make James McQueen a wonderful educational community; without all you do, we could not make our school as special as it is. I will take away many memories I will treasure and I wish all of you the very best!

Yours truly,

Mr. Creighton
