Reminder: Donations for Refugees
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We are students from Mme. Zarrabi Yan’s grade 7 class. We just finished reading the book Refugee and would like to make a difference. Refugees are in Canada. Many of them have come to Canada without warm clothes for the winter and they also need small kitchen appliances. We will be collecting warm clothes for the Clothing Closet and small kitchen appliances for the Furniture Bank. Small appliances include utensils, pots and pans. The Clothing Closet has told us that they are not in need of hats and scarves but would appreciate other warm winter gear such as mitts and jackets. Everything must be in good condition and must be washable, not dry cleanable. We are accepting all sizes. If you would like to donate, please bring the items to school before Monday November 8th.
