Homework Help

It is important to speak to the teacher as soon as difficulty arises, as concepts in all mathematics courses build on each other, and tend to get more difficult as the semester progresses. Remember the importance of review before assessments and correcting returned work to improve your understanding. If you/your student is struggling it is extremely important for them to get extra help to be successful. Students are able to access extra help in the following ways:

Extra Help 2

Extra Help with your teachers

If you are having trouble with math class, ask your teacher when they have time to see you for extra help! You might need to book a time in advance, or you might be able to drop in daily during lunch, depending on the teacher’s schedule.

Math Help Centre (room 116)

Everyday at least one of our dedicated mathematics teachers volunteer their lunch period to stay in the Math Help Centre (room 116) to assist students with any mathematics problems they are experiencing in their course work.  It also serves as a quiet place for students to work.

Government Homework Help

In September 2010, the Ministry of Education, through the Independent Learning Centre launched “Mathify”, a website for mathematics students in grades 7 through 10. Students simply log on to Mathify and obtain personalized tutoring from a certified Ontario mathematics teacher from the participating boards.

Online tutoring sessions take place Sunday to Thursday between the hours of 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Homework Help is free, live and anonymous! Please contact [email protected] to if you have any questions.
