The Minister of Education, Stephen Lecce, has written a letter to all Ontario parents/guardians regarding the province’s announcement on the reopening of schools in September.
During the June 23 Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees created a motion to create a Police Presence in Schools Task Force. As part of this task force, the UGDSB is seeking applications from community members and/or individuals.

The UGDSB is providing a number of supports for students and families throughout the summer of 2020, including mental health supports, supports for students with Autism and transition supports for students with complex special education needs or mental health needs.
Students that have textbooks and school materials can return them to the school during the following dates and times:
June 22- Grade 9, 10 (9:00-1:00)
June 23 - Grade 11, 12 (9:00-1:00)
June 23 - pm (3:00-5:00 pm) and June 24 all remaining students (9:00-1:00)
In recognition of student achievement, the UGDSB holds an annual celebratory event to recognize the recipients of the Student Success: Achieving by Believing Awards. The 2020 award recipients have been announced.
