Over the break, significant holidays are being celebrated. Christmas is celebrated on December 25th, a holiday that Christians note as the birthday of Jesus Christ. This holiday is often marked with gift-giving, family get-togethers, and a feast.

December 26 to January 1 marks the celebration of Kwanza. Kwanza is a celebration of African American culture created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga. This celebration often involves family feasts, dancing, and traditional African music. Similar to Hanukkah, in Kwanza, candles are lit on the kinara each day, but in this case, it is to represent the seven principle teachings.

Over the break, we will also be saying goodbye to 2022 and welcoming in 2023! Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year!

Your John Galt Team.
