Important Chromebook Information

Posted June 12, 2020

Thank you to all of our parents and guardians who have helped support student distance learning during our closure period.  We hope the use of the borrowed Chromebook(s) has been helpful.    We have had many requests from families wondering if they can keep the Chromebook over the summer to continue to support learning and help children stay engaged in their learning.    The answer is yes!   Feel free to keep the Chromebook you have for return to our school in September.    For those moving to a new Upper Grand DSB school you may continue to use the same device you currently have and return to our school in the fall.    If you choose to keep the Chromebook over the summer please remember to fully shut it down regularly to ensure it access updates over the summer when it is turned back on.

For those students moving to a new school board for the fall and for families who would prefer to return their Chromebooks over the summer please drop off at our school on Wednesday, June 24th or Thursday, June 25th between the hours of 9am – 12pm. The front doors will be unlocked and there will be a table set up for drop-offs. If possible, please indicate with a post-it note or a piece of paper taped to the Chromebook your child’s name. This will help in keeping inventory accurate.

If you have any questions please send them to [email protected]

Thanks again for your continued support and best wishes for a healthy and safe summer!
