EJPS Week at a Glance (Sep 12-16)

Chers parents,

I wanted to express my gratitude to all of you who I have had the pleasure to meet before or after school. I am thankful for the warm welcome and supportive partnership I have experienced in just a few short days. Also, you children are amazing and resilient learners. I am looking forward to watching them grow and learn this year. Furthermore, we have some strong leaders in Grades 5 & 6 who are showing leadership and being excellent role models to their younger peers. Continue to encourage them to keep it up!

Today’s message will be short with just a few reminders.

  • Our first School Council meeting will be held in-person in the school library on Tuesday, September 20th. More details to follow. In the meantime, please fill out this survey to let Council know about your preferred methods of communication and other helpful information. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HTFCTWV
  • Terry Fox Walk/Run on Sept 23 (More details to follow)
  • Open House/Fall Fair on Sept 29 (More details to follow)
  • National Day for Truth & Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day on Sept 30. We have ordered “Every Child Matters” buttons for every student and staff member as it can be difficult to find an orange shirt for this important day.
  • Information about Food Programs will be coming soon.

Lastly, I wanted to express well wishes to our Jewish families as they observe and celebrate Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.

Thank you all for an excellent school start-up!

Olivier Cutz (Principal)
