EJPS Week at a Glance (May 15- 19)
Chers parents,
There are many trips and activities lined up over the next few weeks. Please take some time to check School Cash if field trips have been posted for your child. Now that hotter weather is coming our way, please be sure to pack sun hats, water bottles, and sunscreen. We are spending lots of time outside and it’s sunny and hot out. We will also be conducting fire drills, a tornado drill, and other safety drills over the next few weeks. Some of those drills will be announced and some will be unannounced. Please reassure your child that these drills are necessary and are helpful in our work and in our responsibility to keep everyone safe.
Next week will be another busy one as you can see below. Our last School Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 16th from 6:30 to 7:30 in the library and virtually. All are welcome! We are also looking forward to our Jump Rope for Heart event on Friday. Don’t forget to support and donate if you are able to. At the end of May and beginning of June, our Grade 3 and 6 students will be participating in EQAO assessments. Please avoid booking appointments around those days if your child is in Grade 3 or 6 so we can ensure our students are all present to write the tests. We took class and club and team pictures outside this week. Mme Stolfi has been working hard all year towards completing the 2022-23 Yearbook. We look forward to it! Yearbook orders are due May 31st.
Lastly, we are looking for a fourth recess and nutrition break paid supervisor to join our team. Would you like to make a difference at our school and help keep our students safe? The paid position requires you to help supervise students outside and inside the school from 10:30 AM to 11:10 AM and 12:40 PM to 1:20 PM.
