Suggested School Supply List 2020

Posted August 27, 2020

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding, as we have been working to create a Reopening Plan for our June Ave PS families. It is our goal to communicate this plan by the end of this week. In the meantime, I have had requests for what school supplies might be required for September.

As we will not be using cubbies or coat bays at this time, it is important to please keep your child’s personal items to a minimum. To support a safe and comfortable environment, students are asked to bring the following items (clearly labelled with the student’s name):

  • Knapsack or tote bag for personal belongings
  • At least 2 Face masks (in case one gets lost or soiled)
  • A ziploc to store masks when not being worn
  • Personal water bottle (as these will be filled as required at the fountains)
  • Seasonal outdoor wear (we are not requiring ‘indoor shoes’ at this time)
  • Students may bring their own chromebook, but they must be wiped by the student upon entry and before leaving at the end of the day
  • earbuds/headphones (kept in their backpack) – not needed in Kindergarten
  • travel package of kleenex
  • extra set of clothes in a plastic bag to remain in knapsack (kindergarten only)
  • Additional school supplies necessary for the day:
    • Kindergarten & Primary students: pencil case, pencils, eraser, glue stick, scissors, washable markers, crayons
    • Junior Students: pencil case, pencils, eraser, glue stick, scissors, pencil crayons, washable markers, calculator,

Below is a sample of how a Kindergarten/Primary supply kit could look:

Thank you!
