Halloween Activities and Guidelines

Posted October 28, 2019

On Thursday, October 31 our school and classes will/may participate in a variety of activities to celebrate Halloween.  For this day many teachers will have sent home communication about the activities your child’s class will be participating in.  We do encourage you to send a costume in a labelled bag if your child will not be wearing it to school, and please do not send weapons, accessories or masks.  Please note that we have a responsibility to ensure that we plan activities that are inclusive of all our students and staff.  Below are some costume guidelines and alternative ideas for a successful day.

Halloween Guidelines and options:

  • dress in a costume
  • wear orange and black or fall colours
  • wear your everyday clothes (dressing up is not a requirement)

If students wish to wear a costume below is a list of Do’s and don’ts

Costume Do’s

  • make sure you can get your costume on independently
  •  check that your costume is safe
  • Be creative and have fun!
