Texting With Your Child During the School Day

Posted October 25, 2020

We would like to request that parents limit their texting interactions with students during the school day.  We ask that students use their phones only with teacher permission for specific academic tasks during class time.  It will help us to enforce this rule if parents refrain from texting during the school day.  We have had children arranging to be picked up through a text interaction with parents, but we need to know where children are throughout the day since we are responsible for them.  Also, if children are not feeling well, they need to be in the office in the isolation room rather than remaining in class while waiting to be picked up.  Please go over these rules with your child and help them to understand the safety reasons behind them.
