Information to Share (December 18th)

Posted December 18, 2020

Hello Maryborough Families,

As we prepare for the Winter Break, below is some information we would like to share:

  • You might have noticed items coming home with your children from their desks (i.e., workbooks, pencil cases, shoes, whiteboards, etc.). These items are “just in case” we have to pivot to online learning at the end of the winter break. We ask that these items be returned the first day back following the break (as of right now this date is January 4th).
  • As of right now, we are not sending home additional technology for families, but should technology be required in January to support remote learning, we will communicate our plan for distributing this technology to families.
  • When we return, we will be reviewing COVID-19 safety protocols, including hand hygiene, physical distancing, proper masking and mental health and well-being supports. Please see this Educator Guide prepared by the Ministry of Education for more information.
  • Please see the following Letter as we encourage everyone to adhere to the health and safety measures within their community over the holiday period.
  • Please see the following Save the Date Flyer for Virtual Parent Engagement workshops coming up in the new year.

Please reach out if you have any questions!

Mr. Dickieson
