Monday Message – Week of Nov 12

Posted November 15, 2018

Thank you School Council – We would like to thank School Council for their support of the following initiatives:

• Author Joanne George’s (and furry friend, Sunny) visit
• Zumba for the Junior division and for an indoor wellness activity at recess in the winter
• Outdoor materials for our Kindergarten classes
• Mobile technology for our JK-6 music program

Support of the above initiatives amounts to more than $3,000.00.

Funds raised through programs such as our Hot Lunches go a long way to supporting some of the extra programs that make our school a great place to be.

We will occasionally use this space to share some of the fantastic initiatives supported by our School Council.

School Cash Online – If you haven’t already done so, please sign up for School Cash online here:

(Please also see the attached document for instructions)

This is the payment option for many of our school functions, including our various hot lunch days.

Once you register, you will receive emails from School Cash Online informing you when items are ‘open’ for purchase. For example, in the next few days, our December Hot Lunch menu options and then our January lunch options will be going online.

Online payment only remains open for a limited window and covers a specified block of time. When it closes, no payment option becomes available. For example, within the next few days, the December block of Hot Lunches will open and remain open until November 20th. When it closes, Hot Lunch orders will no longer be available and will no longer show up as an option for purchase. It is also important that you book lunches for the full open period if you wish.

Parent teacher Interviews – Booking you child’s parent-teacher interview for the evening of November 29th or the daytime of November 30th is completed online. The site ( to book interviews will be open from November 20th at 3:30 p.m. until November 28th at 11:00 p.m. A letter outlining the procedure will be included in your child’s progress report envelope.
