Dear parents/guardians,

The Upper Grand District School Board would like to provide you with information regarding elementary graduation celebrations for this school year.

Due to on-going COVID-19 restrictions around large gatherings and physical distancing, UGDSB elementary schools will not be able to hold traditional in-person graduation ceremonies this spring. This includes both indoor and outdoor ceremonies.

In order to celebrate our students, elementary schools have been provided with guidelines and some suggestions to consider when planning end-of-year recognition initiatives for graduating students. These guidelines will allow for recognition to take place in a way that aligns with COVID-19 health and safety protocols, and allow for some personalization specific to each school site.

Schools will communicate further details about specific school-based initiatives closer to the end of the school year.

Thank you for all you have done this school year to help keep our school community safe and students engaged in learning. And congratulations to our graduating students as they head into the next stage of their learning journey.
