Congratulations, Kara!
One of our MVPS students, Kara Taylor, has won big! Kara participated in a National Writing contest where students from across the country were asked to write on the meaning of home. Inspired and encouraged by Mrs. Lee, Kara wrote a passionate poem describing what home means to her. Kara is a gifted writer and her clear compassion and sense of responsibility are clear when you read her work.
Kara’s efforts won the grand prize of $30,000. which will go towards a Habitat for Humanity home build in our area.
