CELA
The Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) is a national not-for-profit organization that provides accessible reading services to the approximately 3 million people across Canada with print disabilities. Print disabilities are disabilities that make it difficult or impossible to read ordinary printed books, and include visual disabilities, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities. CELA's collection includes over 1 million titles in multiple accessible formats, including audio, braille, printbraille, and text.
To support students at each stage of their education, CELA's free Educator Access program provides elementary and high school teachers with full access to the collection without the need to provide proof of disability, in order to borrow materials on behalf of students with print disabilities.
