PowerKnowledge Science
PowerKnowledge Science is a suite of three article databases: Life Science, Earth & Space Science, and Physical Science. Content is recommended for students in grades 3-6 and articles feature vocabulary support and automated read-aloud. Great for topics related to climate and environment, energy, force and motion, chemistry, life cycles, human physiology, and more!
PowerKnowledge Science recognizes UGDSB staff and students automatically, so no need to enter a username or password. To access PowerKnowledge, navigate to the student UGCloud landing page - the site should automatically sign you in.

Content in PowerKnowledge is organized into three sub-sites - Life Science, Earth & Space Science, and Physical Science. On any page, click on the buttons at the top of the screen to toggle between the different databases.
French translation
Each article in PowerKnowledge can be translated in French and other languages. On the article page, click on the Google Translate bar at the top of the article and select a language from the drop-down list.
Browsing & searching
Students can navigate articles in PowerKnowledge by browsing or searching. Use the interactive menu on the left-hand side of the screen or visual topic "paths" to explore different content areas. To look for a specific idea, use the search bar at the top of the page.
