I would like to welcome staff students and parents to Two Rivers Secondary School.

I count it a privilege to serve as the founding principal of Two Rivers. This year, our school will welcome Grade 9 and Grade 10 students only, which creates a unique opportunity for our students to shape the traditions, culture, and identity of our school from the very beginning.

These junior students have the remarkable opportunity to be leaders. They will help establish the clubs, teams, activities, and traditions that future friends, siblings, and families of students will enjoy. Whether in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, or through community involvement, our students will have countless opportunities to develop the leadership skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

I encourage every student to become involved and remain engaged in school life. The most rewarding high school experiences often come from stepping forward, trying something new, and contributing to the community around us. We want every student to find a place where they feel connected, challenged, and inspired.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to student achievement and well-being. We will be creating meaningful learning experiences that will prepare you for an ever-changing world while helping you discover their strengths, passions, and potential. Our priorities include:

I firmly believe in high expectations, a growth mindset, and an abundance of care. We will challenge you to strive for excellence while recognizing that one of the best parts of learning is in the process. Mistakes provide greater chances to learn and are opportunities for growth.  We also agree that effort matters, and that student are more capable of achieving great things when supported by caring adults who believe in them.

Equally important is our commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and acceptance. Our school will be a place where diversity is celebrated and where every student feels welcomed, valued, and safe. By embracing perspectives and experiences that may differ from our own, we strengthen our community and create an environment where everyone can thrive.

To the parents, thank you for entrusting us with your children and for joining us in building this new school community. Together, we will create a place where students learn, lead, belong, and succeed.
