Video Surveillance Camera Project Expansion

Posted June 8, 2018

In its efforts to continually review and monitor the safety of our schools, the Upper Grand District School Board is expanding its Video Surveillance Project. Once the project is complete, all UGDSB schools will be equipped with video cameras.

Over the course of next year, all remaining schools – include our school – will have video cameras installed. Much of the preliminary installation work will be completed in the summer months.

As part of the project, school communities will be made aware prior to any of our video cameras being activated and signage will be placed throughout the school.

If you have any questions on how these systems are managed, please refer to the board’s Video Surveillance policy (Policy 203) on the board website:  https://www.ugdsb.ca/board/policy/policy-203-video-surveillance/

Thank you,
