Marker Recycling

Posted January 31, 2019

Colour CycleThanks to a partnership with Paisley Road Public School in Guelph, we will be collecting all of our used, empty, dried out markers, highlighters and dry erase markers and sending them to the Crayola Company to be recycled and reimagined. Crayola also accepts other brands of markers, not just Crayola, so we will be able to keep hundreds, possibly thousands of markers from ending up in landfills. This will help our students not only continue to develop their understanding of the importance of recycling, but also help them feel like they have an important part in helping keep our earth clean and healthy. Parents are encouraged to send in any markers, highlighters and dry erase markers they may have at home to be recycled.

Palmerston Public School will begin accepting items February 6th, 2019.
