Fall Update

Posted September 30, 2019

Fall is in full swing!

We have had an amazing school start up this year.  We have a wonderful group of students and staff and are excited about the coming year.  Already we have had sports start, such as Junior Soccer, and our Me to We Club attended WE Day to inspire them to give back to their communities.  We had a very successful Terry Fox Run last Thursday and raised $1191.40 for the Terry Fox Foundation. Thank you to everyone who was able to donate to this cause.

We have new staff joining us!  We are very excited to welcome French Immersion Kindergarten Teacher, Mme. Katie Crichton and French Immersion Grade 4/5 Teacher, M. Stefane Paquette to the PPS Family.  Thank you to you, our families, for your patience and understanding as we worked through the staffing process.

Our Fresh from the Farm Fundraiser has started.  The money raised from selling these local, fresh fruits and vegetables goes towards our snack bin program.  Our Chocolate Bar Fundraiser will be starting this Friday. Please watch your child’s backpack for information coming home.  The money raised from chocolate bar sales will be used to support buying student resources and our new playground project.

Picture Day is tomorrow!  Class and individual photographs will be taken.

School Council had a wonderful first meeting in mid September.  We’d like to encourage all families to join us for School Council.  Our next meeting will be Thursday, October 10th at 6:30pm in the school library.  If you are interested in seeing the minutes from our School Council meetings they are posted on the ‘School Council’ page on our website.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or the office.  We are here to help.

Happy Fall!

Tracy Baker (Principal) and Heather Dyer (Vice Principal)
