Two of Parkinson’s students recognized

  Jaxson R   Randy S   Jaxson and Randy were recognized for their technological achievements at the OSSTF Educational Student Support Personnel Gala for Students with Learning Differences, which took place on May 23, 2018.  Congratulations Jaxson and Randy!!

Artsplosion and 50th Anniversary Celebration

On May 10th the Parkinson community celebrated the 50th anniversary of the school in conjunction with our annual Artsplosion night.  Past and current students, families, teachers, and administration enjoyed spectacular displays of art throughout the school, performances by students, and trips down memory lane.  A special thanks to our sponsors, Maple Lodge Farms and Dairy Queen, who provided refreshments to make the evening complete .

Long Term Accommodation Plan Final Report (Draft) – Public Meetings

The Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP) Final Report (Draft) is going to be presented at 5 regional public meetings throughout the month of May.

The draft report includes a list of proposed short (1-5 yrs.) and long (6-10 yrs.) accommodation priorities. The report does not include any recommended changes to school programs or boundaries. Pin

LTAP Public Workshop – Cancellation Notice

Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP) Background Report and Public Engagement Plan

On January 30, 2018, trustees approved a Public Engagement Plan as a part of the Board’s process to develop a Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP).

The LTAP is a strategic review of the Board’s facilities, population projections, and enrolment forecasts.  At the end of the process, the LTAP will identify accommodation priorities for the Board.

French Immersion Boundaries Changing Next Year

A new FI program will begin at Parkinson Centennial PS in September 2018. Effective September 2018, JK-3 FI students who live south of County Road 109/Broadway will attend Parkinson Centennial PS. Please review the boundary map for more information.  Kindergarten registration for the 2018/19 school year is from January 9-19, 2018.  All parents interested in JK FI must complete their pre-registration at Parkinson Centennial
