Dear Parent Involvement Committee Members,
We are looking forward to gathering for our final meeting of the 2021/22 school year and hope you are able to make it! We are planning to host this meeting in a “blended” format with attendees able to join us in-person at the Guelph Board Office (500 Victoria Road North, Guelph) or virtually via MS Teams. Also, we are excited to invite you to attend an in-person Meet & Greet in the Board Room from 6:30pm to 7:00pm with light refreshments served. The
formal agenda for the meeting will begin as usual at 7:00pm.
We are pleased to welcome Director Peter Sovran who will provide an update on the development of the board’s Multi-Year Plan as well as speak about highlights of the 2021/22 school year. Also, we will welcome Adnan Shahbaz, Principal at Westwood Public School who is leading a board project that aims to infuse Restorative Practices into progressive discipline in our schools. Mr. Shahbaz is also in the board’s Superintendent of Education Pool. We welcome anyone in the UGDSB who would like to attend and learn more about these subjects and about the work that PIC does, so feel free to bring a friend. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
