Principal’s Message – September 15, 2017

Posted September 15, 2017

It has been a great week at Primrose.  We have had the opportunity to visit with each of the classes to talk about goal setting and safety.  We also celebrated Character Day on Wednesday where we looked at those character traits that are true to us and those that we want to develop over the course of the year.  We would like all students to focus on my personal favourite trait…kindness.

There are so many ways to get involved in the larger school life at Primrose.  This week we had try-outs for junior and intermediate soccer.  Photography and Sewing Clubs are ready to begin.  Most exciting….

Calling all stars of the stage…! Word is out and “the SUN will come out tomorrow”, as the curtain prepares to rise at Primrose this fall, for our production of the musical “Annie Jr.”. Students in grades 1-8 are invited to participate in our school-wide show, taking place on DECEMBER 12, 13 and 14, 2017 in our very own gymnasium. AUDITIONS – Students in grades 4-8 may prepare a song and something to speak, to audition for the key roles. Sign-up is on our Annie board at the school and auditions will take place on September 15, 18, 19, 20, 21. Students in grades 1-3 will not need to audition, but will have the chance to sing and dance in some of the larger group numbers, if interested. Tickets will go on sale in November… stay tuned for how you can be involved. Check out our website for more information. Can’t wait to break a leg!

Whether you are an artist, musician, photographer or athlete there is always something to do at Primrose.

Next Week’s Happenings:

We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday at our Meet the Teacher BBQ from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.  Thank you to all those that ordered food.  We will have limited food available for purchase at the event for those who missed out on the School Cash Online sales.  Classrooms will be open for visits at 5:30pm.

Auditions for Annie Jr continue.
