Dear parents and guardians,

As we approach the end of the school year, we would like to say thank you to all our students, families and staff for their hard work and understanding throughout the year.

The purpose of this letter is to provide you with information about the last few weeks of school.

Graduations for Grade 6 or 8 students and Grade 12 students

Elementary graduation information will continue to be communicated by school staff to those elementary students graduating to new schools (Grade 6 or 8). Schools are expected to follow all public health protocols at such events. As communicated in March, high school graduations have been postponed to the fall. We look forward to celebrating and honouring our graduates in a safe and fun way.

Personal belongings pick-up / Technology drop-off

There will be an in-person opportunity for students to pick up personal belongings and return board-owned technology and resources. These dates will be organized and communicated by schools to families directly and schools will follow the required health and safety protocols in place.

Note: Students participating in summer learning do not need to return their technology in June.

Elementary schools only: On the day designated by the school for pick-up/drop-off, real time (synchronous) teacher-led learning may not occur, as staff will be facilitating the drop off and pick up of items. Teachers will communicate their specific schedule with their students/families.

Remote schools will communicate information about technology drop-off with their students directly.

We would like to thank you again for your continued support and we are looking forward to welcoming our students back in the 2021-22 school year.
