Great Things Are Happening at PMPS!
Our sports teams continue to do well. Both teams head to their basketball tournaments tomorrow, Friday. We are proud of athletes and wish them the best of luck tomorrow. As well, track and field practice has started and golf club will be starting soon. Thanks to our coaches for providing these opportunities.
We had our kick off assembly for Jump Rope for Heart this week. The students learned about heart health and the signs of a stroke. Children are encouraged to fundraise and only ask trusted friends for donations. Our school goal is $1000 and have already we have raised $997 in two days! If we raise $1000, Mr. Turner, Mrs. Papavasiliou, and Mr. Stiles will be slimed! The class who raises the most will have lunch in the staff room as well!
Monday, May 6th kicks off Mental Health Awareness Week and Education Week. Monday, children will be doing Zumba and on Tuesday, May 7th we will be having our Math Engagement night. Please join us from 630pm-730pm to play some math games and take home a math grab bag.
Tuesday, May 7th is a Board wide “Free to Achieve” day. Please consider bringing in a toonie/ pay through School Cash Online to support students in our school system; to help them have access to programs and support, and be “Free to Achieve” anything.
