PMPS Weekly Update March 9th
Good morning,
We want to wish everyone a terrific March Break. A reminder that there is no school from March 13th to 17th. We will welcome everyone back on Monday, March 20th, 2023 at 830am.
Before we head into March Break though, our school will be having a winter olympic play day on Friday, March 10th. All students will be outside the first two blocks of the day. It is a good idea to have your children wear boots, snow pants, a winter jacket, a warm hat, and to pack extra mitts and socks, in case they get wet. It’s going to be a lot of fun.

Please take a moment once and while and check out all of our great news! This week there are great workshops posted from the DSPN and the UGDSB Continuing Education Department.
Finally, please note that Ramadan begins on March 23, 2023. “Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. This is a blessed month for Muslims as it is the month during which the teachings of the Qur’an were revealed. This is considered a time for Muslims to cultivate spiritual renewal through fasting, and an increased focus on prayer and contemplation, as well as a time to recommit themselves to practicing compassion and generosity for others” – Al Jeeran. Our school has a duty to accommodate for learning, assessments, recess, physical education and sport, lunch and eating, and prayer during Ramadan. We have a multifaith prayer room at our school. It is located in room 101. If your family recognizes Ramadan and needs any of the above accommodations please give me, Mrs. Papavasiliou or your child’s teacher a call at the school and we will ensure that these accommodations are in place.
