Sept 19 update
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
This afternoon, we will be observing a moment of silence to reflect on and honour the Queen’s passing.
We have our first school council meeting tomorrow, Tues. Sept 20th at 6pm in the library. If you are interested in running for a council position, please contact the Principal, Mme Anand for a form today. Being involved in School Council is a wonderful way to learn more about what is happening in the school and support student learning. We will also be discussing fundraising plans and goals for the year. We meet approximately 5-6 times per year.
Milk and pizza orders for the first term are available on schoolcashonline.com and they are due this Friday. No late orders will be accepted past Friday. If there are any financial issues or constraints please contact the school for support as we want all students to be able to participate if interested.
This Friday, Sept 23rd is our Terry Fox Run. Please ensure students are dressed for a hike/walk as we go through the conservation area.
We have a variety of clubs started at Rockwood and offered by staff including: Intermediate football, Intermediate cross country, junior drumming and soccer, choirs and bands, eco-schools, podcast writing, Math Club and others! It is wonderful to see all of these enriching opportunities being offered for students.
