Salem Reading Challenge!

Posted March 13, 2020

Dear Parents and Students,

I know many of you will be wondering what you can do with your child over the next little while. One of the most beneficial things that can be done is to read daily.

At Salem we have decided to have a reading challenge over the course of the next three weeks. As a school we have set a goal to read for 2,000 hours. It sounds like a lot, but if we all work together we can achieve this goal. If every student in our school reads for 23 minutes per day, we will exceed this goal. That works out to 480 minutes of reading per student over the course of the 3 weeks.

All students who reach 480 minutes of reading will receive a special treat! If we reach our school goal, we will have a school wide bubble gum day!

Please help us to reach our goal! Natasha SkerrittĀ
