On Tuesday, as part of the GuelphGives campaign we gave 70 Guelph Students from the Specialist High Skills Major program (SHSM) the opportunity to meet with professionals in the Information and Technology sector. Students got to learn from experts at Google, Communitech and The Binary Tattoo about the exciting and ever changing ICT Sector. They explored new concepts and gained new skills from business mentors, including customer service, internet security and an introduction to software. As a result, they received 3 certifications for their SHSM program. This day was made possible by our partnership with the Upper Grand District School Board.
