Dear parents and guardians,

We wanted to make you aware of concerning behaviour affecting our school.

Since last winter, our school has been victim to a number of acts of vandalism. The most recent incident occurred over the weekend when a window was broken and fire set in one of our school’s classrooms.

We take these crimes very seriously. Security cameras were installed this summer and outdoor lighting has been improved, however acts of vandalism continue to happen.

The Guelph Police have increased their patrolling in the area and we appreciate their assistance throughout these matters.

We wanted to make all Sir Isaac Brock PS families aware of this, so that you can help support the school by reporting any suspicious behaviour you may witness.

If you see concerning behaviour on school property during the school day, please call the office at (519) 824-1442. Outside of school hours, if you see concerning behaviour please contact police. For emergencies or if a crime is in progress, call 9-1-1. To report vandalism, call (519) 824-1212.

Thank you for your assistance. As always, the safety of our students and school community is our primary concern.

Sincerely,

Natasha Skerritt & Gerard Walker
