Kiss N’ Drive Reminders

Posted March 6, 2019

Mornings are a busy time at SIB especially on very cold days.

If you are arriving after the bell (8:40 AM)  has gone you will notice that the staff member and student patrols have left their post and gone into the school to start the day. At this point you are responsible for ensuring your child gets safely into the school to begin their day. If you have a child who is not able to walk safely into the school on their own please park on one of the available side streets and walk your child into the school to sign in late. It is very important that there are not children walking by themselves through the parking lot as this is not safe. Being early in the line of Kiss n’ Drive will help ensure that this doesn’t occur. Kiss n’ drive support begins at 8:24 and at this time there is often no line at all!

Thank you to the many families who have been following the Kiss and Drive procedures.  If you need to accompany your child into the school, please park on one of the many available side streets and carefully cross onto the school grounds at the cross walk where the crossing guards are located.  For all other kiss and drive families, valet service will be provided by our very dedicated staff and student patrols! We ask that vehicles do not try to enter the school grounds to park in the front of the school or in the parking lot during drop off and pick up times. (If there are special circumstances please speak to Ms. Skerritt or Mr. Walker) Please remember that our student safety patrols are trying their best to make sure all our students are safe. We thank them for their hard work.

The safety of our students is of the utmost importance. Thanks for your efforts to keep all of our children safe!
