VP Announcements and Student Item Pick-Up Reminder

Two important Vice-Principal announcements
It was shared at the UGDSB Trustee’s meeting last Tuesday that our very own Mr. Gerry Walker will be taking on the VP role at Westwood starting this September. Mr. Walker has been a very important part of the SIB team over the last two years and has made a tremendous impact on students and staff. He will be missed but we know he will be an amazing influence at his new school in the fall. All the best Mr. Walker!
Mr. Derek Tellis will be joining us as the new VP at SIB starting in September. He comes to us with a wealth of teaching and leading experience and we are looking forward to welcoming him to our school. We hope the entire SIB community will help us congratulate Mr. Tellis when we all get to meet him in the fall!
Parent Pick Up of Student Items
A reminder that time is available this coming Thursday June 4th (for students with last names starting with A-L) and Friday June 5th (for students with last names starting with M-Z) for parents to briefly access the school to retrieve any of their children’s items that will be bagged up and waiting. NOTE: If your child(ren) have any school items (ie. library books, home readers) they can be returned when you come to the school on either of these days.
SIB will continue to communicate with families step by step with information as we move through to the end of the school year.
