Special UGDSB Parent Event + More SIB News

Dear SIB families,

We miss seeing everyone at SIB and although we can’t be in the same building at this time it is fantastic to see everyone online participating in their classes. We do not have a return to in-school learning date yet but as soon as we do we will communicate with everyone. Here are a few SIB announcements and reminders:

#1 Special UGDSB Online Event – PARENTING AND HOPE IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY: On April 28th @ 6:30pm all parents and guardians are encouraged to join Dr. Michael Ungar and members of the UGDSB community as they talk about the 9 ways families, schools and communities can support and build resilience in children and youth. #2 Absent for a day during remote learning? Please let us know with a call: Even during remote school we are responsible for taking attendance. If you know your child will need to miss a day of remote learning please call the office 519-824-1442, Thank you for your help!

#3 Remote Learning Tech Trouble? If your child requires a chromebook to use during remote learning please complete the following form or contact your child’s teacher directly and you will be contacted regarding when you can pick one up from the school.

#4 Grade 8 Graduation Photos which were scheduled to be taken Wednesday April 21st have been postponed. Grade 8 families will be contacted with a new date once it has been organized.
