New Principal Announcement at SIB

Dear SIB Families:
At the UGDSB’s Board meeting on Tuesday night, it was announced that I will be taking a leave of absence starting this summer.
The new Principal for the 2021/22 school year at SIB will be Mr. Steve Viveiros. Currently Mr. Viveiros is the principal at Willow Road Public School and he is coming to SIB as a skilled elementary leader with many years of experience.
For all the challenges these last two years have brought, it has truly been an amazing experience at SIB. I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know all the fantastic students, families and staff! I feel so privileged to have worked in such a warm and welcoming school community. I did want to write to say thank you for all of the support that you have shown to me and the staff. These years have not been easy for anyone and every student, family and staff member has done their very best to stay positive and safe. I feel very fortunate for all of the opportunities and experiences I have had at SIB and I wish you and your family all the best.
Thank you again for all your support and please help me welcome Mr. Viveiros to our awesome school.
