Principal’s Message – October 30, 2022

Posted October 30, 2022

This week’s Principal’s Message will be a short one as I am a little under the weather.

A reminder that tomorrow, being Halloween, students may wear a costume (please see guidelines from my earlier Principal’s Message), wear black and orange, or come in regular dress.  To those of our community that celebrate…Happy Halloween!

Tuesday is Picture Retake Day.  If your child missed out on photos during the original photo day or if the photos weren’t quite what you were hoping for, this is the opportunity to try again.

Wednesday is Take Your Child to Work Day for grade nines across Upper Grand.  A few staff members will have their children in grade nine visiting for the day.

On Wednesday our grade eights are heading to Westside in the afternoon for “Tech Day.” This is an exciting event as we start supporting their transition to high school.

Thursday is Pizza Day for those who have pre-ordered.  Don’t worry if you missed out, School Council will being setting up the next block of orders soon.  Also coming soon are Pita Pit Days and Hot Lunch Days.  Please make sure you are sign-up at www.schoolcashonline.com and have your notifications turned on.  You will receive an email as soon as new things become available for purchase.  Thank you to School Council for organizing these on behalf of our families.

On another note, we wish Mrs. MacLaren all the best as she heads out on her maternity leave a little earlier than expected.  We will be hiring for her replacement this week and will let families know.

We hope everyone has a fantastic week.
