·         A good start to the year

·         Lots of staffing changes:

o   Ms. Priest retired

o   Mr. Gouk transferred to online school VP

o   Mr. Morrow transferred schools

o   Ms. Roth, Ms. Dubuc, Ms Anderson and Mr. Kowch transferred temporarily to online school.

·         New staff:

o   Vice-Principal: Ms. Holm

o   Teachers: Ms. Rebellato , Ms. Coles, Ms. Heard, Ms. Barbour, Ms. Hamelin, Mrs. Watson

o   Office: Ms. Bulmer, Ms. Campagnola, ·         Approximately 20% of students have moved to remote school, generally class sizes are smaller overall

Council topics

·         Ken explained the elections process for executive members and discussed the difference between voting members and non-voting

Council Executive:

·         Jackie Hammond, acclaimed as Chair

·         Melynda Hutchison, acclaimed as Treasurer (note that the treasurer role has been revised this year with accounting assigned to the office)

·         Katie Nasswetter, acclaimed as Secretary

Set Meeting Dates

·         All agreed that meets will be held online on the second Thursday of the month

Voting Members of Council

·         The following members agreed to be Voting Members for this year: Jodi Hocken, Richard Martin, Andrea Galda, Adam King, Brooke Rea, and Scott Grasley/Ruth VanLoon as a shared vote.

Update

·         This year funds will be shifted to a school fund managed by admin staff instead of Council

·         Ken answered some parent questions about how the school is functioning with the Covid-19 restrictions in place
