Increase the Kindness! (Bullying Awarenenss Week!)

Posted November 19, 2021

Hi Families:

Here are some activities that we will be doing as a school to help us learn about Bullying and creating a KIND school and community. You can support by having conversations with your child(ren) about the themes below!

Monday-22 Tuesday-23 Wednesday-24 Thursday-25
Challenge for the Day Say something kind to 3 different people today, throw that kindness around like confetti! Have everyone in your class share one thing that they do to help change their day from bad to better. Please ask your students to identify 2 safe adults they can go to at school to get help. (please write them down for reference later) Play with someone new, notice someone alone on the yard and ask them to come join you and your friends.

This week is Bully Awareness and Prevention week. Tomorrow is Spirit Day to celebrate diversity and acceptance with a splash of pink!  This is how we are going to acknowledge who we are as people inside and out!

.

Today, we celebrate diversity and acceptance with a splash of pink!  Way to go staff and students for acknowledging who you are inside and out! If you have concerns of bullying please remember to reach out to a trusted adult. You can get help by reporting it by using the Report Bullying Online Tool at the bottom of the home page of the school website.
Quote of the day to be shared on announcements When someone says or does something unintentionally hurtful and they do it once, that’s RUDE.

When someone says or does something intentionally hurtful and they do it once, that’s MEAN.

When someone says or does something intentionally hurtful and they keep doing it- even when you tell them to stop or show them that you’re upset-that’s BULLYING.
