School Report  School Projection Season: JK registration, school enrollment generally increasing 

 

Great Moments in Teaching:  

Extracurricular activities: Ukulele, Grade 5/6 basketball, Choir, GSA (gay-straight alliance), and Black Brilliance daily 

 

Report cards will be available on Wednesday Feb 15th  

 

Science of Reading: Schools coming up with a literacy plan and implementing reading strategies

Treasurer Report  Encourage teachers to submit receipts for approved spending 

 

  
Fundraising  Chocolate Bars distributed and available til Feb 24th 

 

Extra boxes – about 30 of 195 came back – time consuming to organize and determine the oldest in the family 

 

Some kids disappointed about the lack of prizes and some parents about selling in winter/cold weather 

 

Funding goes to classroom supplies and technology  

 

Potential funding needed for replacing chromebooks – and need to replace large logs on playground  

  
Questions  Any thoughts about a garden space?  

  • There is a community garden/orchard in Stephanie Park  
  
Principal Leadership Input  Annual input from Council on leadership qualities and skills when considering principal assignments due April 28, 2023
