Dear Parents / Guardians,

We have had a positive and smooth start to our 2022-2023  school year. As you are aware, classes within the Upper Grand District School Board are tentative for the first two weeks of school. The Upper Grand District School Board Staffing Committee has made some changes to the structure of our classes.  These changes allow for each of our classes to be compliant with ministry guidelines and overall create smaller class sizes for our students.

Letters will be sent home to students affected by these changes this week.  If you do not hear from us by the end of the week, your child will remain with the same teacher.   It is our hope that the students will meet their new teacher and classmates on Friday and start in their new classes next Monday.

Thank you for your understanding as we work through this transition.  From past experience we know that children adapt quickly to these types of changes and that our attitude can have a significant impact on how our children react and respond to new situations. Please know that in moving students we  have taken friendships, individual needs and academic abilities into consideration. Our new classroom organization cannot be changed nor can your child’s placement.  Please trust that we will do everything that we can to ensure a smooth transition for all of the students.

Thank you for your support,

Carla Andersin

Principal
